This is My Prozac. Pretty isn't she? She is a 1980 Catalina 25. She's a lot of fun, but also homey. She's a great teacher, too. We've been together since November of 2004. We bought her from John Wigen who is a genius as far as we're concerned. He found her behind a barn with a bent mast, forlorn & neglected and lovingly restored and improved her into a beautifully functional specimen of this model of sailboat. Thanks John!
This is Captain Dave. He's wanted to sail since about 1980 or earlier. He finally got his chance in 2004 when some wonderful people offered to take us sailing on their 26' San Juan sailboat. Dave took to sailing right away. He loves cruising on a sailboat at least as much as breathing and it seems to come as naturally to him.

This is Captain Pam. Sailing did not come to her so naturally, but she had such a huge desire to sail that she fought through her anxiety and fears and now thinks of little other than sailing. As you can see she is now quite comfortable on the boat.

This is Heidi & Laura, World's Greatest Sailing Mentors. They are the aforementioned 'wonderful people' who took us out for our first sail. And they gave us our first sailboat, an 11' Snark. They patiently taught us about sailing, navigation, anchoring, rafting up, provisioning, outboard motors, and in so doing introduced us to a lifestyle we've come to love. And as if that weren't enough, they've captured it all on dvd's for us to relive!

Here's pictures of Dave and Pam on that fateful weekend at Diamond Lake. This first day on the Snark is what really got Pam hooked. Catching the wind in that little sail and sliding out across the lake cast a spell and the rest is history. We went on to name the Snark "Pay It Forward" and have passed it on to do more magic.
So after the Snarking we hitched rides with Heidi & Laura as often as possible on their lovely vessel, Sacred Space.

We also started lurking around the docks at Howard Prairie Lake the local sailing lake and home of the Rogue Yacht Club. There we learned what nice people sailors are. And we spotted My Prozac...
...but that's a story for another page.
This page wouldn't be complete without an intoduction to the rest of the permanent crew:

This is Simon, our Dinghy Captain. He is usually first to board the dinghy, since that means he gets to go ashore and run around without a leash - his greatest joy in life. He's grown quite comfortable on Prozac.
Besides overseeing the opererations of his dinghy, 'Half Dose', he provides wind speed and direction readings for us.
This is Suzie. She joined the crew in April 2006. She's totally comfortable on the boat. You see her sporting her Doggles here.
She's also in charge of fish 'n game on board.
All in all they make a great team
